.our three week puzzle.

lately we have been buzzing around like bumble bees taking in all the sweetness of:

• randy and sandra's easter egg hunt at the arizona house with all the little ones
• attending the college of design dinner banquet honoring Craig Newmark (owner of craigslist)
• playing with nieces and nephews
• arizona sunsets
• dining out: chelsea's kitchen, grazie, postinos, la grand orange
• bbq with chris's pals
• seeing this darling girl after way too long- we hit this store, this restaurant and this event
• playing hide and seek with hailey
• seeing b&k's new home
• seeing m&c's new home
• seeing a&j's new home and their red striped ceiling in madsen's room- so cute!
• park city
• holding maggie's hand wondering around the house
  
• seeing grandma jeanne's new condo and visiting over a can of coke
  
• ella showing me her collection of toy animals
• red butte's house pasta and running into high school friends
• chris talking with his grandad
• playing trains with charlie
• hannah and claire's baby blessing
• olivia's love for her stuffed dog "frenchie"
• seeing chris and his brother zonk out on the plane ride home
  

it has been so wonderful to see family and friends so much lately. we feel so extremely, incredibly, enormously blessed to have them.

Over the Weekend...

{...we woke up to park city's sunrise and spent time with family

celebrating the blessings of two new baby girls in the family}

i feel like this single picture sums up the feelings and joy i felt this weekend. however, more pictures have yet to come - we did so many fun things! i am playing catch up right now with finals.

• i am a soft coated wheaten terrier and i don't shed
• i turn 1 next month
• my favorite treats are veggies & ice cubes
• i take a shower with my mom every sunday (and i hate it)
• i love my best friends: lola, dutch, chappy and mcdoogle
• i am a hypo-allergenic dog
• going for car rides are my favorite (i love to stick my head out the window)
• i enjoy people watching on the balcony
• when i am lucky i get to sleep at the foot of my parents bed but i always sneak up to the top, in between my parents
• bones are my favorite surprise
• my breed comes from ireland (i'm a farm dog; bred to catch varments)
• i know how to sit, lay down, roll over, kiss, shake, stand, off and front (come)
• i like to go running with my mom and dad
• i have a sensitive stomach
• potty training has been a challenge for me and mom & dad get really mad when i do my business inside the house
• i am very cuddly in the morning and at night
• i have tons of energy!
• i squeak my toys when my parents are trying to study
• i love to play with kids
• i hate going to the groomers
• my mom is overly protective of me and makes me go to the vet over stupid things
• i LOVE to rough house with my dad
• i like to be scratched under my legs (not my belly)
• i am very stubborn and defiant
• i love attention
• i love when my grandparents come visit me
• i like to steal socks and dish towels because my mom & dad chase me around the house
• i like to shred up the toilet paper in all the bathrooms
• i like to play fetch
• i like to lay under my mom's feet when she does the dishes
• i take a nap every day
• i think we can all agree that i have a darn cute puppy face

Just Developed...

{all of our scuba diving pictures from trips spread out over the past three years. i know i am bad! they came back damaged from waiting too long. haha. however, i think the effect is fitting. i like how they turned out- here are a few from each of the places we have explored.}

Montego Bay, Jamaica you can tell the water here is clear and tranquil

Puerta Vallarta, Mexico the water here is icky hence the brown water
Catalina Island the water here is cold and spooky creatures hid in the kelp forests...like the octopus chris is holding!

Shark Fin Rock off the coast of Maui, Hawaii the water is deep crystal blue with small friendly sharks.

this is a picture of me surfacing the water at shark fin rock. it makes me laugh.

the colors are so funky.

exploring the under water world has captured some of the most beautiful moments chris and i have shared together. it is remarkably fascinating. feeling weightless, experiencing the colors and unknown sea life is simply romanitc.

Catching Up.

[ i currently am back in school working on a masters with certification (a new program to asu). i would love to teach high school darkroom photography. the program so far has been good but a definte challenge coming from a fine art program. however, i am loving the classroom! i am doing an internship at perry high school and my mentor teacher has thrown me into teaching some of the assignments. he is such a great teacher. its been great and the students have responded to me better than i thought. i just finished teaching the motion assignment and can't wait to see what they come up with. the photo above is from a very talented student: julianna (wont give the last name for privacy purposes). this is from the filter assignment and from a high school level she did amazing! so this is what i have been up to and staying busy with. my sweet husband has only one more semester- he is so excited! now, what happens next for us?..... this we have no idea....but for now, i wll keep making and studying photographs and husband will learn more about buildings.]

p.s. i think it's about time i put up my website to show my three years of hard work in the darkroom. right now they are under our bed. in a box. and dust is starting to collect. sad isn't it?

{amanda (check out her blog her pics are great) and i met in the photo program at asu, yesterday we spent the whole day together taking photographs, bargain shopping in old town mesa, munching on sweet goodies and playing with our cameras. we had so much fun that she and her husband rob invited us that evening to frost/nixon that is on tour right now. thanks guys we had so much fun!}
